RedBird Landscape Design

Nedlands III

The existing front yard of this project was a poorly performing lawn, coupled with a poorly performing hedge. While starting from scratch is not always a good idea, in this case it was really the only choice. With the exception of the one inspiration - a monster American agave, which, together with the style of the house, and the client’s interest in eclectic planting, drove the slightly Moroccan-style design. With a client who is willing to invest in the ongoing care, and the occasional tweaking of this garden, it has become a real joy to watch it evolve.
