Sometimes you get to start a large project with a blank slate. This was one of them. A large block, with a modest house nicely placed at the front of the block, had been not only neglected by previous owners, but had a large brick wall built at the edge of the alfresco area, blocking off most of the back yard. Removing this, making the most of a sloping site, bringing in more rocks similar to those already on site, indulging in a beautiful array of native plants, and adding the finishing touch of a secret pond at the bottom of the garden by the sitting area, and what a transformation!
